  • Indoor Air 2014 is the flagship conference of the International Society for Indoor Air Quality and Climate, ISIAQ.  The triennial conference started in 1978 to promote the science of IAQ and climate, and Indoor Air 2011 was held in Austin.
  • Indoor Air 2014 is co-organized by The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong.

The theme and topics - Healthy indoor air for an energy efficient and sustainable built environment. Indoor air science and technology is multi-disciplinary. We also invite abstracts from building technology, public health, microbiology, urban air, urban planning, architecture, infection control, and wireless sensors.

Plenary Sessions focus on multi-disciplines - Eleven top scientists will cover the topics including history and future of indoor air sciences, IAQ in developing countries, rural areas, ventilation of buildings, and other peripheral disciplines such as urban planning, urban climate, green buildings, and architecture, including Prof Lord Julian Hunt on urban climate, Prof Shin-Ichi Tanabe on changes in life style and energy issues after the great East Japan earthquake and Prof Jiaping Liu on vernacular dwellings in Western China and green buildings.

Innovative Keynote Sessions for Young Researchers are targeted for postgraduate students or early-career researchers in the area of indoor air sciences. Both the state of knowledge and future research directions will be covered. If you can attend all 5 keynote sessions (every morning from July 8 to 12), you should have the feeling of attending a full postgraduate course on indoor air sciences, given by 20 top scientists in the world.
