REHVA and AICARR seminar at MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2012
Europe is consolidating its position as world leader for energy sustainable policies, fixing ambitious goal to score in the following years in order to reduce energy consumptions and CO emissions. Within the general action framework, the field related to the building sector is more and more crucial: this sector is responsible of more than 40% of energy consumptions and the potentialities to obtain significant reduction of energy use is high in buildings through energy conscious refurbishment of existing buildings, associated to the design and construction of new low energy buildings.
The challenge of Zero Net Energy Buildings is ready to be faced thanks to the development of new technologies addressed to the buildings, ranging from building envelope to HVAC systems, from automation in building control to information for a suitable behaviour of the final user. Each aspect can contribute to the reduction of actual energy consumption in buildings.
In this seminar, the topic of Zero Energy Building as defined by the European Community is firstly clarified and the targets that have been set are illustrated and critically discussed.
After this general introduction, the focus is addressed to the innovation related HVAC system: new technologies and equipments able to answer to the request of increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO emissions are investigated and analysed, also by means of the presentation of significant case studies.
