World Sustainable Energy Days 2015
The "European Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Conference" will be held on 26 - 27 February 2015 in Wels/Austria in the context of the next World Sustainable Energy Days!
The conference programme is now available: www.nzeb15.eu
The coming years will see a sharp increase in the market uptake of highly efficient buildings throughout Europe: according to the European Buildings Directive, all new buildings must be "nearly zero energy buildings" by 2020 (public buildings already by 2018). A "nearly zero energy building" (NZEB) is a building that has a very high energy performance and the very low amount of required energy is covered to a very significant extent by energy from renewable sources.
The 2015 global meeting place for the sustainable buildings community will offer a unique combination of events:
· 5 CONFERENCES:
European Pellet Conference
European Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Conference
Young Reseachers' Conference: Biomass + Energy Efficiency
Energy Efficiency Watch Conference
Energy-Efficient Commercial Buildings Conference
· 3 HANDS-ON EVENTS
Major energy tradeshow
The conference is organised by the OÖ Energiesparverband, the energy agency of Upper Austria. Upper Austria is an ideal location for such a conference: due to consistent policies, there are already more than 1,000 buildings that meet passive building standard and several thousand "nearly zero energy buildings" in the region.
Simultaneous interpretation into English, German and Russian will be provided.
The conference fees are 195 Euro for the European NZEB Conference (26 – 27 February, includes the Energy-Efficient Commercial Buildings Conference, the Energy Efficiency Watch Conference, the Young Researchers’ Conference: Energy Efficiency and the NZEB Site Visits); 310 Euro for all conferences of the WSED (25 – 27 February), plus 10 % VAT. All fees also include an entrance ticket to the tradeshow. Further information on fees for the different events and for students at www.wsed.at/en/registration-info.
We also advise you to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible - further information is available on the conference website: www.wsed.at/en/travel-accommodation
The World Sustainable Energy Days 2015
In addition to the European NZEB Conference, the World Sustainable Energy Days 2015 will offer a number of other high-profile events, the European Pellet Conference, a poster presentation and technical Site Visits. For 20 years, experts from all over of the world have gathered in Upper Austria to attend the events - in 2014, the conference attracted more than 750 participants from 59 countries!
Upper Austria is an ideal location for such a conference. By 2030, all electricity and space heating in the region will come from renewable energy sources. Already today, the region holds a leading role in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
