- Company Members/Supporters: CIBSE is an engineering institution and professional society for individual engineers, and does not have company membership as such.
CIBSE has a corporate association, CIBSE Patrons, with over 100 member companies, who support the work and activities of CIBSE, with a special emphasis on education and career development for engineers in the early stages of their careers.
- In addition, CIBSE has five specialist Divisions, the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL), the Society of Façade Engineers (SFE), the Society of Public Health Engineers (SOPHE), the Society of Digital Engineering (SDE) and the Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers (ILEVE), which each cover areas of specialist engineering within buildings. Both the SLL and SOPHE have significant Industrial Sponsorship groups.

GUIDES and other Publications: CIBSE publishes a wide range of design guides and other publications relating to building services engineering, and through its mail order service sells all CIBSE titles and also related publications from the Building Services Research & Information Association (BSRIA), ASHRAE and a range of other publishers including REHVA. Building Services Engineering Research & Technology : a quarterly journal of engineering practice and research papers
Lighting Research & Technology: A quarterly journal of engineering and research papers on lighting design and applications only.
