REHVA Brussels Summit 2018: registration closes soon !
Last chance to register here to the second edition of the REHVA Brussels Summit, on 12-13 November 2018, for a two-days event rich of contents: an occasion for REHVA Members, Supporters and stakeholders to meet and network in the capital of Europe. The first day will be dedicated to REHVA Committee Meetings and to EU Projects CEN-CE and ALDREN workshops, and closed by the traditional REHVA Dinner. The REHVA Conference “Smart buildings for smart users - implementing the new EPBD” will be held the following day.

REHVA is recruiting a Publications, Marketing and Communication Officer for the development and implementation of the annual communication and publication plan, the production of REHVA publications, the website development, the content management and social media management and the creation of promotional and marketing materials. On the road to CLIMA 2019: latest updates for the participants
The 13th CLIMA World Congress, the leading international scientific congress in the field of Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), will be held from 26 till 29 May 2019 in Bucharest, Romania. The 2019 edition will focus on the topic “Built environment facing climate change”.
Preparations for CLIMA 2019 are in full swing. A call for paper is open: you can submit your full paper until 1/12/2018. Find here some useful information about the paper submission.
The organisers offer the possibility to promote research and know-how by organising a Workshop. The duration of each Workshop is 1,5-2 hours, and it may approach themes that are specific for the companies, institutions, associations or research groups that are holding it. If you are interested in purchasing one of the twenty Workshop slots available, contact Giulia Marenghi at gm@rehva.eu.

EU Project News
On 17 October, hybridGEOTABS and Energoklastr organised in Prague a workshop on Model Predictive Control. In case you missed it, you can watch the recordings online and register to the REHVA Brussels Summit Conference on 13 November, where the same topic will be brought on stage.
QUANTUM has now a project video: 1:25 minutes to know how QUANTUM contributes in closing the performance gap in buildings: Check it out. To know more in details QUANTUM outcomes, join the REHVA Brussels Summit Conference (13/11), where the coordinator will give a speech about effective Quality Management services.
In the context of the REHVA Brussels Summit, on 12 November ALDREN project will offer its first training to unveil the underlying concepts of its common building performance certification to boost non-residential energy.
CEN-CE consortium will meet REHVA experts at the REHVA Brussels Summit on 12 November, where a workshop will be held to gather feedback about the preliminary CEN-CE training material.
TripleA-reno is a H2020 project started in June that will develop an open and end-users centred gamified platform to make acceptation and decision making on deep renovation attractive for consumers and end-users. Check out how in this introductory video.
A slot of the REHVA Brussels Summit Conference (13/11) is dedicated to showcase Mobistyle approach to boost energy conscious behaviours in buildings. The project coordinators will showcase ICT-based tools and services that have been adopted to motivate behavioural change.
EU policy news
Energy efficiency-Ecodesign requirements for electric motors opened for public consultations
The Commission has opened the initiative for consultations on a working document draft on Eco-design requirements for electric motors and variable speed drives.
The draft for the eco-design regulation for electronic motors and variable speed drivers took some time after it was finalised with a final impact assessment. Now, the HVAC industries and others are having an opportunity to comment on this draft until 21 November 2018, within the 4 weeks feedback process. Smart Readiness Indicator: a 2nd study commences in autumn 2018
DG ENER launched a second call for tender for a 2nd study on "Support to the establishment of a common European scheme for rating the smart readiness of buildings" to consolidate and revise the outputs of the first study, focus in the implementation of the scheme and develop an impact assessment. The work is supposed to start in October 2018 and will involve Member States in the consultations. The European Commission plans to have a delegated act and an implementing act by end of 2019 / early 2020 based on the 2 completed studies.
The first SRI study was published in July 2018 proposing a multi-criteria assessment methodology for the SRI assessment listing serviced in 10 domains with different weighting. Annex A consists of a Service Catalogue with an overview of all 52 smart ready services to be inspected.
