REHVA Brussels Summit 2018 will be held on 12-13 November 2018. SAVE THE DATE!

After the success of the 2017 edition, this year REHVA will organise its two-days event to meet its Members, Supporters and stakeholders on 12 and 13 November 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. We look forward to meeting you again!

Join us at REHVA and EPB Center joint booth during the EUSEW 2018

REHVA and EPB Center will be there at Energy Networking Village on Thursday 7 June, from 9:00 to 12:30 during the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2018 in Brussels.
The booth will invite visitor to interactive discussions, including a Quiz. REHVA will highlight its latest European projects dealing with the development and deployment of innovative HVAC technologies, while the EPB Center will present its services promoting the use of the new EPB standards. You can also learn about the latest REHVA European guidebooks and other knowledge sources and tools developed by the two hosts. Check out more about EUSEW 2018 here.


Report of the REHVA Annual Meeting 2018 in Brussels, Belgium

The 2018 REHVA Annual Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium on 21-23 April 2018 in a cooperation with ATIC, the Royal Association of Heating, Ventilation and Climate Control Technology. Read more.

The 62nd REHVA General Assembly took place on 22 April 2018. More than 50 participants from 28 countries attended the meeting. Joris Mampaey, President of ATIC opened the works with a welcome speech. The General Assembly has elected Frank Hovorka, the current REHVA Treasurer as President-elect. His mandate will start in 2019. Read more. 

Manuel Gameiro da Silva, REHVA Vice-President from Portugal, oversaw the REHVA 2018 student competition on 22-23 April. Twelve representatives from ten  countries took a part at the competition this year. The jury selected as winner Kristian Martin from Finland for his work on “Demand Response of Heating and Ventilation within Educational Office Buildings”. Read more.

This year’s annual meeting was also linked with the 80th Anniversary of ATIC celebrated with a special Gala Dinner where the REHVA professional awards were handed out by President Stefano P. Corgnati. He offered also two special supporters’ awards to Uponor and Swegon. Read more.


EU Policy News

The revised EPBD directive was adopted by the Council 

The Council today adopted a revised directive on energy performance of buidlings and completing the final stage in the legislative procedure. Following today's formal approval of the regulation by the Council, the directive will be published in the Official Journal of the EU, and will enter into force twenty days later. The transposition period for this legislation is 20 months. Temenuzhka Petkova, Minister of Energy from the Bulgarian Presidency, highlighted the importance of enhancing the energy efficiency of buidlings as one of the most cost-effective ways of improving the quality of life for all of us and helps in moving towards a low-carbon economy. Trilogues on EED entering into final stage

This week, the negotiations on the Energy Efficiency Directive entered into the final stage with a trialogue meeting on 16 may between the European Parliament, the Council, and the European Commission. Bulgaria’s EU presidency wants the European Parliament to put a compromise on the table during the new talks on 16 May unlocking negotiations to close the file before July. Read more information.
