The European Commission is reviewing the ecodesign requirements for circulators, the devices responsible for circulating water in heating and cooling systems.

Since the adoption of minimum energy efficiency requirements in 2009, which took effect in 2013, the market has undergone a significant transformation, leading to substantial energy savings for end-users.

Now, with technological advancements offering new possibilities, the EU is reassessing these measures to ensure they remain fit for purpose.

Stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback and insights until the 11th of April 2025.
