You are warmly invited to join global leaders, policymakers, scientists and health experts for Healthy Indoor Air: A Global Call to Action – the inaugural High-Level Side Event on indoor air quality, to take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The event will take place September 23, 2025 at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

Given that indoor air quality is a global issue of significant interest, with public health, pandemic preparedness, and climate resilience as driving forces for action, the Australian Academy of Science, Brown University School of Public Health, Burnet Institute, and The OSLUV Project are delighted to convene this crucial event, aiming to elevate global awareness, strengthen international collaborations, share challenges and showcase best practice.

Montenegro and France will kindly co-sponsor the event, with the Montenegrin President confirming his participation and the French Health Minister expecting to attend and deliver remarks (TBC). Additionally, high-level representatives from the UN Environment Programme, International Labour Organization, and World Health Organization are confirmed to speak.

The event is delighted to have over 50 partnering organizations, including the World Federation of Public Health Associations, the World Heart Federation, the International WELL Building Institute, ASHRAE, REHVA, ISIAQ, Harvard Healthy Buildings, and others.

This event will highlight the critical importance of indoor air quality and include the launch of a Global Pledge for Healthy Indoor Air, in which the event will welcome governments and organizations to sign onto and drive global momentum on this important topic.
