From 24 to 26 September 2025, REHVA took part in the Eurovent Summit in Prague, with our Policy & Advocacy Officer Francesco Robimarga representing the organisation. Held under the theme #ManufacturingForTomorrow, the Summit gathered stakeholders from across the European HVACR value chain, providing a unique platform for dialogue between industry and academia.
Strengthening Relations with Eurovent and Eurovent Certification
The event was an important occasion to reaffirm the close links between REHVA, Eurovent, and Eurovent Certification. These organisations each bring complementary strengths: Eurovent representing European manufacturers, Eurovent Certification ensuring performance and reliability, and REHVA connecting building designers and the academic community.
Together, they contribute to a European effort to ensure that building design and product development advance in a coherent, mutually supportive way. Collaboration at this level helps guarantee that innovation in manufacturing is matched with real building needs, and that design practice is grounded in robust, certified solutions.
Highlights from the Programme
The Summit featured a broad mix of working group sessions and seminars, addressing technical, regulatory, and sustainability issues. Key debates focused on integrating life cycle assessment, circular economy principles, and innovative materials into HVACR design and production. These discussions underscored the importance of aligning product development with building performance requirements.
REHVA Supporters at the Summit
We were pleased to see a strong turnout from REHVA Supporters, who actively contributed to the sessions. Their involvement once again highlighted REHVA’s role as a connector between research, policy, and industry.
Looking Ahead
The Eurovent Summit demonstrated the importance of collaboration among European building designers, academics, and HVAC manufacturers. This dialogue is key to delivering healthier, more sustainable, and energy-efficient buildings while upholding Europe’s high standards for products and building performance.
REHVA extends warm thanks to Eurovent and Eurovent Certification for the kind invitation and for hosting such a valuable event. We look forward to continuing this collaboration, which strengthens the bridge between design and manufacturing at the heart of Europe’s building transition.
