The REHVA Student Competition 2026 officially has a winner! 

On Monday 20th April, thirteen teams gathered in Nice at the REHVA Annual Meeting to present their research papers in front of a distinguished jury. The REHVA Student Competition aims to honor and recognize the most outstanding HVAC students since 2005. The awarding ceremony took place during the Gala Dinner of the REHVA Annual Meeting, hosted by our Member Association AICVF; thank you to all students for sharing this moment with us.

These are the winners of the 2026 edition.

Diana Lemian, selected by AIIR Romania (RO), took first place with her presentation on ''Development of a Digital Twin for a thermal manikin used in the evaluation of indoor environmental quality''.

Second place was awarded to Serra Ardor, from CIBSE (UK), for her presentation on ''Beyond Passive Cooling: Testing Hybrid Strategies to Reduce Overheating in Epilepsy Care Homes''.

Third place went to Wei Wei, from TVVL (NL), with his presentation on ''Office Desks as Diffuser of Ceiling Fan Airflow and Collective Comfort''.

The jury also awarded the best poster to Marie Odehnalová, from STP (CZ), for her work on ''Decarbonizing Educational Buildings: The role of LCA and earthen materials in nZEB design'' .
