REHVA General Assembly was held on Wednesday 18 April 2012 in Timisoara, Romania. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Schmidt, president of REHVA opened the 56th General Assembly by welcoming all the delegates.

During the General Assembly, Prof. Schmidt outlined the activities and results of reports over the 2011 calendar year 2011. The 2011 financial report was presented and approved. Several REHVA Fellows were granted. The meeting ended with reports from the various REHVA committees.

New REHVA President-elect
The quorum voted for REHVA’s next president and successor; Prof. Karel Kabele from Prague, Czech Republic was elected by the delegates for the position of President-elect.

New REHVA Secretary General
Prof.Olli Seppänen announced that he will be stepping aside from the post of REHVA Secretary General. The new Secretary General, Jan Aufderheijde, who was previously a REHVA Vice-President and the managing director of the Dutch Association TVVL, was introduce to all the National Associations members.
