CLIMA 2022: Digitization

CLIMA 2022 considers digital solutions that encourage the energy transition in the built environment as a very important theme. Solutions are expected in the areas of (predictive) digital twinning, data-driven smart buildings, data management, and continuous commissioning. Nowadays digital solutions must be capable of handling a wide variety of HVAC systems and even be self-learning in detecting trends and process anomalies.

Come discover the original contributions on digital solutions supporting the building upgrading process and building (energy) management CLIMA 2022.

Siemens, the theme sponsor

Siemens joins the efforts for digitalized HVAC by sponsoring this CLIMA edition.

Our purpose is to create more sustainable communities by leveraging the power of digitalization in real-estate. We focus our innovation power on transforming the building industry and solving our customers’ most pressing issues for the benefit of people, businesses and the generations to come.
Henning Sandfort, CEO Building Products at Siemens Smart infrastructure

Keynote speaker

We are excited to annnounce Dr. Clayton Miller as one of our keynote speakers for theme Digitzation!

In the Wednesday keynote speech Scalability, Benchmarking, and Skills: A Roadmap for Built Environment Digitization, Dr. Miller will discuss the importance of open data for the development of robust machine learning in the building industry and how we can catch up to other sectors that have transformed due to data science.Find out who are all the keynote speakers HERE.

Digital transformation facilitating building performance convergence and enabling operational rating
Digital transformation facilitating building performance convergence and enabling operational rating

The U-CERT digital tools facilitate the convergence of building performance calculation methodologies leveraging the set of CEN/ISO EPB standards and enable the inclusion, next to asset rating only, of measured building performance and building operational rating (normalized measured building performance) creating complementing/new services that building professionals can swiftly include in their existing offering or expand it. The installation sector is digitalising! As in the rest of the building industry, systems digitization and innovation have an increasing impact on the HVAC and installation sector. Far-reaching evolutions towards ‘digital twins’ and ‘smart buildings’, including predictive maintenance strategies and centrally linked systems, mean that the installation sector faces the next wave of digitization, or rather an AI (r)evolution. This is one of the reasons ‘digitization’ is an important topic at this edition of the REHVA World Congress CLIMA 2022, the leading international scientific congress in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
