Building Simulation 2021 Conference (BS 2021)

From 1 to 3 September 2021, the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) organizes the Building Simulation 2021 Conference in Bruges, Belgium.

IBPSA as an association deals with qualitatively predicting performances (e.g. energy use, comfort, noise, indoor air quality, environmental impact, financial costs, …) of machines, processes, concepts, human activities… in the built environment. It is a community (over 4000 members) of academics, PhD students, engineers and a growing share of practitioners in the sector, with affiliates in 30 countries worldwide.

Their biannual global conference takes place in Bruges (Belgium) in September 2021. A dynamic team from practice and science, chaired by prof Lieve Helsen (KU Leuven) and prof. Wim Boydens (boydens engineering & UGent), will shape this event.

As Building Simulation 2021 aims at bringing together the interests of academics and practitioners in a stimulating technical program, the focus will be on the application of the latest scientific developments at the frontier of the societal challenges in the built environment.

The main theme of the conference is the use of building performance simulation in:
