In the year that marks the start of investments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which will complement those already provided for in other relevant strategic instruments, such as the 2030 National Investment Plan (PNI 2030), which is expected to provide unprecedented conditions for a decade of change and repositioning of the Portuguese economic model, the Ordem dos Engenheiros intends to contribute, within the scope of its statutory attributions, to a serious and well-founded technical debate that contributes to national progress and development, in which the Engineers will be protagonists.

As such, the program of the XXII Congress of the Ordem dos Engenheiros was structured considering the aforementioned scopes and contexts, as well as the need for innovation, boosting digitalization and artificial intelligence.

Three plenary sessions are planned, with in-depth interventions on sustainability and resilience, the role of Engineering in the country's economic recovery, as well as on the challenges of education and qualification in adapting human capital to the needs of private and public companies, as well as of the State itself.

At the same time, the eight parallel technical sessions will address topics as vast as the scope of Engineering itself, such as the Environment, Climate and Decarbonization, Mobility and Social and Territorial Cohesion, Digital Transition and Cybersecurity, Research and Innovation and the Global Challenges for the development.
