The European Commission have opened a 'call for evidence' where they invite stakeholders to provide feedback on what they think needs to be included and addressed within the revamping of the 'Strategic Energy Technolog' (SET) Plan. This can be done until 02 November 2022.

As a reason for renewing the SET Plan the Commission gives the following reason:

"After 15 years of operation, with its most recent update taking place in 2015, the SET Plan must be revised to make it fit for the new political context. The future SET Plan needs to meet the objectives of the European Green Deal and REPowerEU through stronger synergies between national, industrial and European energy R&I measures to achieve ambitious but necessary EU targets for deploying smart clean energy solutions."
