As part of the implementation of REPowerEU the Commission released a proposal for revise the Regulation on the security of gas supply by introducing obligatory gas storage levels to secure the supply for the winter of 2022/2023 and after. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on this addition about gas storage until 25 May 2022 in an open-text format with maximum 4,000 characters and the option to add an attachment.

Within the proposal the Commission has set the filling target of all storage capacities in the EU to 80% for 2022 and to 90% for the years beyond.
