On 3 May, the French Presidency released its first draft compromise amendments on EPBD  recast proposal of the Commission setting the basis for negotiations among member states and the Trialogue in the coming months. Some relevant amendments considered as setbacks compared to the EC proposal:

• EU-wide ZEB thresholds replaced by national definitions
• Allowing monthly calculation instead of hourly calculation, a major improvement of the EC recast proposal.
• Remove the mandatory IEQ measuring & control devices in ZEBs
