The European Commission has adopted the main work programme of Horizon Europe for the period 2021 - 2022 that outline specific objectives to receive a total funding of € 14.7 billion during this period. The first calls for proposals will open on 22 June 2021.

These investments have the aim to stimulate the green and digital transitions and contribute to a sustainable recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and to strengthen the EU's resilience against future crises. More than 40% of the budget (€5.8 billion) will go towards research and innovation to support the European Green Deal, while other large shares of the budget will go towards Europe's Digital Decade (€4 billion) and the NextGenerationEU (€1.9 billion).

Keep an eye on the Funding and Tender Portal to see the first calls for proposals on 22 June.
