The clean energy transition for buildings: Professional associations enhancing renovation skills - Wednesday 7 June
The webinar was brought to the BUILD UP audience by BUILD UP in collaboration with Federations of European HVAC Association (REHVA), European Builders Confederation (EBC), GCP Europe, Renovate Europe, and EuropeOn.
The webinar agenda was divided into two parts, with the first part consisting of a series of presentations beginning with a welcome from Alice Corovessi, Managing Director of INZEB (Greek National Partner of Renovate Europe) and Vice-Chair of Renovate Europe. This was followed by a presentation on skills for building decarbonisation from Silvia Rezessy, Policy Officer at DG ENER B3. Andras Toth, Policy Officer at DG CLIMA E1 then gave a presentation for guidance on the climate resilience of buildings, and immediately after Amandine De Coster-Lacourt, Project Adviser at CINEA D1.3 presented the BUILD UP Skills Initiative. Finally, to round of the first part of the session, Dragomir Tzanev, Executive Director of EnEffect presented the Bulgarian BUILD UP Skills road mapping.
The second part of the agenda was a panel discussion with the speakers and moderated by Alice Corovessi, Managing Director of INZEB (Greek National Partner of Renovate Europe) and Vice-Chair of Renovate Europe. The panel consisted of all the speakers that had already presented, in addition to Fernando Sigchos Jiménez, Secretary general of EBC and Pär Lundström, Senior Skills and Policy Advisor, Installatörsföretagen at GCP Europe/EuropeOn. Fernando and Pär each began with a short opening statement, as the audience had not previously heard from them, after which the floor was opened to all speakers for questions from the audience.
