On 12 February 2021, the BSOH (Belgian Society of Occupational Hygienists) organized a webinar on “SARS-CoV-2, a biological hazard in the workplace”. The webinar facilitated a cross-sector discussion, adopting an interdisciplinary approach to combat COVID-19 challenges, bringing together experts from medical sciences, building physics and HVAC engineering field.

REHVA participated to this event through its TRC Chair, Jarek Kurnitski and his presentation of “Ventilation as a means to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus”. He presented the 15 recommendations from the REHVA COVID-19 Guidance document to the event attendees stressing the importance of ventilation and outdoor air rate to reduce virus transmission risks.

 

 

All the speakers selected by BSOH are experts in their own field and elaborated in depth on the virus, the disease, the exposure and the prevention of transmission.

 

 

 

Thanks to the collaboration between BSOH and REHVA for this event, 24 REHVA Member Association’s members had the opportunity to access this non-publicly available event.
