The think tank Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) has released a policy roadmap on how the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) can integrate a whole-life carbon approach and ensure a comprehensive vision of a carbon-neutral buildings. The roadmap lay out necessary steps to integrate whole-life carbon considerations gradually and effectively into the EPBD. It tackles different barriers such as building data collection and the construction value chain.
