The first technical support on the establishment of the SRI within the EPBD concluded in August 2018 and aimed to develop a scope and characteristics of such an indicator. The second study on the implementation of the SRI started in January 2019 with the aim to provide the further technical inputs for the establishment of the SRI scheme. It is planned to refine and finalize the definition of the SRI and the associated calculation methodology. Thus, the study considers possible options for implementation of the SRI and measures the impact on EU level to enable an effective implementation across Europe.

The next stakeholder meeting on the 2nd SRI study will take place in Brussels on 26th March 2019. The other two stakeholder meetings are scheduled for October 2019 and March 2020. Check out the timeline here.
