In December 2020, the European Commission adopted the SRI legal acts that have been published on 21 December 2020 and entered into force on 10 January 2021. 

• Delegated act for establishing an optional common European Union scheme for rating the smart readiness of buildings.
• Implementing act detailing the technical modalities for the effective implementation of an optional common Union scheme for rating the smart readiness of buildings (Text with EEA relevance).

Back in 2020, the SRI Topical Group C (chaired by REHVA) had provided a recommendation report (1^st recommendations report) that has been included in the 2^nd SRI technical support study. The final deliverables of the 2nd SRI technical support study were published on 22^nd September 2020.
