Article 19a of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) 2018/1844requires that the European Commission has to conclude the technical feasibility study to introduce the inspection of the ventilation systems and an optional building renovation passport before 2020.

The main aim of this study is to assess the relevance and feasibility to introduce EU provisions for the inspection of stand-alone ventilation systems in buildings. Moreover, this feasibility study also encompasses an assessment of the relevance and feasibility of introducing an EU approach (either voluntary or mandatory) to the concept of building renovation passport.

REHVA is a member of this consortium and actively contributes to the feasibility study on inspection of ventilation systems.

The feasibility study runs from 18 December 2018 until 17 December 2019.
