Heat pumps are essential for the decarbonization of heating and cooling in European households over the next decades.
TRI-HP is an EU-funded research and innovation project that develops affordable and efficient trigeneration systems based on natural refrigerant heat pumps for multi-family residential buildings, with a much lower global warming potential than current commercial models, while being able to provide renewable heating, cooling and electricity. Through this combination, TRI-HP systems are reducing the primary energy demand in heating and cooling by up to 73% compared to gas boilers while avoiding the use of F-gases as refrigerants.
In cooperation with the project's consortium, REHVA has created an introduction video explaining the project's main objectives and TRI-HP two natural refrigerant heat pump systems developed during the project.
TRI-HP will be ending soon in February 2022, watch the video to know more about the project!
