Expert Talk: Deep energy renovation with the new EPBD

Earlier this year on 30 March, the European Commission published its proposal for a revision of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The CPR lays down harmonised rules for putting construction products on the market. The focus of the current CPR that’s been in force since 2011 the assessment is performance-based and how manufacturers declare information about the performance in relation to essential characteristics, e.g. how they conduct heat or react to fire. The revision aims to address the sustainability performances of the products and make them fit for the digital transformation of the construction sector.

On 14 November REHVA invites its supporters and wider network to join us for an Expert Talk with a presentation by the European Commission on the revision of the CPR, why it’s needed and how it links with the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. This will be followed by short statements from several of our supporters on their opinion of the revised CPR and how they are currently ensuring sustainability performance in their products, which will be followed by an open discussion.
