For EU to become climate-neutral by 2050, buildings need to transform from passive isolated elements to energy-efficient and smart-grid ready buildings, able to act as active nodes well integrated to the energy grids and other infrastructures, while answering occupants needs. The H2020 funded SmartBuilt4EU aims to build an innovative ecosystem throughout the value chain of smart buildings through concrete communication and networking events. In this context the project organised a webinar on 17 June to showcase innovative solutions for the transformation towards an energy efficient and smart-ready building stock in Europe.

In order to present various innovative solutions, SmartBuilt4EU invited invited 9 other EU-funded projects that are developing state-of-the-art solutions to support Europe’s transition towards a smart building stock, who each presented their innovations and discussed this transformation in a panel discussion. As one of the participating projects EPC RECAST presented how the project supports the improvement of the reliability of EPC data colleciton and uses a user-centric approach to make it easier for end-users.  The webinar was organised through BUILD UP with 8 other projects presenting their innovative solutions along EPC RECAST.
